Communicating with all the students who attend S3 can be a challenge.  Remind 101 is safe and simple to use- many school districts use it for communication between teachers and students.  You or a student can set up an account, receive a unique ID #, and have students TEXT that ID # to 81010 to join the group! No more adding numbers to your personal cell phone and trying to keep track of who you've added!  Simply create a sign like the one here to remind students each week to join the group to stay up to date regarding S3!  You can use Remind 101 on your computer or you can download the free App:  Remind: School Communication (it's got a blue background with a cloud).

STUDENT-LED is the secret sauce!  Usually, schools do want an adult present to maintain order; however, it is vital to remember that all of the activities must be initiated and led by students on campus.  What could be construed as a limitation actually serves to equip and empower students to grow in their leadership abilities and to take ownership of their faith.  Students always rise to the level of expectation- keep the bar high!

We are excited to introduce our new Communications Coordinator, Ashley Patterson. Ashley has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Dallas Baptist University. She is a former Students Standing Strong leader, Young Life leader, Brand Manager and is passionate about strengthening students in their walk with Christ. Having a young professional on staff has been a dream and prayer of ours for a while. God provides and we are grateful!
